Barcaldine Primary School is situated in the heart of Barcaldine village, which is about 14 miles to the north of Oban. The school is situated on the shores of Loch Creran serving the small village of Barcaldine and its surrounds.
The school roll is currently 6 and during session 2025/26 the pupils will be arranged in one composite class . At this time the school shares a headteacher with Taynuilt Primary School.

Barcaldine Primary is one of a cluster of schools who work together on common aspects of the curriculum. These schools also include Barcaldine, Lismore, Kilchrenan and Strath of Appin, who are all associated primaries for Oban High School. Our pupils come together from time to time to participate in various activities such as residential outdoor trips, sports, music, ICT and enterprise sessions.
